Dr Janaka Tennakoon is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Paediatrician with extensive experience in General Paediatrics. His special interest areas include Neonatology, Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Disorders. He is qualified to perform Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments (ADOS and 3Di).
Over the past 15 years, Dr Tennakoon has conducted Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinics in Bendigo and Mildura, gaining significant expertise in insulin pump management.
Dr Tennakoon is passionate about improving access to specialist paediatric care for rural and regional communities. He has worked extensively in Bendigo, Metropolitan Melbourne, Regional Victoria and also contributed to outreach services in Swan Hill.
In 2020, Dr Tennakoon established his Online Paediatric Clinic Telehealth Clinic to support families across Australia. Due to increasing demand, he expanded his clinics in 2025 to include face-to-face in person consultation in Bendigo.
Dr. Tennakoon is a compassionate and dedicated clinician, committed to supporting families with care and understanding. He is supported by his team: Ann, Practice Manager, and Jackson, Administrative Assistant, who is always happy to assist with your needs.
